How to automatically assign Packfleet to your Mintsoft orders
How to automatically assign Packfleet to your Mintsoft orders
Updated over a week ago

To reduce the amount of manual work involved with processing Mintsoft orders it is common to set up some kind of automation rules to assign the Packfleet service to orders as they arrive in Mintsoft. There are typically two options that can be used:

  1. Mapping the delivery service selected in your channel (such as Shopify) to the correct Mintsoft service

  2. Mapping orders to Packfleet based on the postal code in the order using shipping zones

Mapping the delivery service selected by the customer

More information can be found here

  1. Log into your Mintsoft dashboard

  2. Open the sidebar and select Shipping Management and then Courier Service Mapping

  3. Press the Create New button to start creating a new mapping rule

  4. Select the source that you are importing the orders from and make sure you have selected the correct client if you have multiple clients

  5. Choose the courier service and type that you want to map the order delivery option to, for Packfleet this should be Packfleet - Packfleet Next Day Service for the courier service and Express for the service type.

  6. Enter the name or code that is being passed from your channel to Mintsoft

    1. You can check what value is being passed to Mintsoft by looking at the order details for an existing order. Viewing the History tab should reveal an item that says something like this Courier Service Received As: nextDay

    2. When using the Packfleet shopify app the name that should be entered is nextDay

  7. Press Add to finish adding the new mapping

  8. You may also want to configure mapping rules for any non-Packfleet carriers that might be configured in the channel, such as any nationwide fallback options

Mapping the delivery service based on the delivery postal code

If you don’t want to require your customers to pick Packfleet in the checkout and instead want to upgrade any orders inside the Packfleet delivery area to Packfleet then you can instead use the Mintsoft shipping zones feature to automatically map these orders based on the delivery postal code.

  1. Log into your Mintsoft dashboard

  2. We need to first create the zone for Packfleet before we can use this to create an off-shore mapping rule. We need to use off-shore rules as courier selection rules do not support postcode zones

  3. Then download this file, this contains the list of postcodes in a format we can import into Mintsoft
    mintsoft_area.csv

  4. Open the sidebar and select Shipping Management and then Extras

  5. Under the Upload section select Uploads

  6. Under the Upload SpreadSheet section choose OffShoreShippingPostcodes as the file type and then upload the minsoft_area.csv file you downloaded earlier

  7. You now have a shipping zone that can be used in courier mapping

  8. Open the sidebar and select Shipping Management and then Extras again and then OffShore CourierService Mapping

  9. Then press Add New Mapping

    1. Under CourierService select the name of the courier you would like to be overridden when Packfleet is available

    2. Under OffShore CourierService select Packfleet - Packfleet Next Day Service

  10. Press Add to finish adding the new mapping
